At Nightingale House we believe that every moment matters. Nestled in the heart of Romford, our home is more than just a place to live — it's a place to feel cared for, valued, and truly understood.

We specialise in dementia and end of life support, delivered with unwavering empathy and respect. Our commitment to person centred care means we tailor every aspect of support to the unique preferences, needs, and life stories of our residents.

We are championing personal care and mouth care, know that dignity begins with the smallest details. From attentive personal care routines to good oral hygiene practices, our team ensures each resident feels fresh, comfortable, and confidently themselves, each moment of care is delivered with sensitivity and pride.

Life at Nightingale House is full of colour and connection. Our activities programme offers a rich mix of experiences — from gentle movement sessions, such as Pilates and creative arts to themed celebrations and interactive games. And every month, something new lights up our lounge: musical performances, guest entertainers, or seasonal festivities that spark joy and shared memories.

We don’t just hear — we listen. Our carers give time and attention to residents and their loved ones, fostering trust and building meaningful relationships every day.

Our dedicated staff provide care with empathy, dignity, and respect, always treating residents and their loved ones as equals. We champion open mindedness, equality and sincere listening, ensuring voices are heard.

We embrace diversity with open arms. Residents from all walks of life feel safe and respected here, with care tailored to their cultural and religious beliefs. Every Sunday, a volunteer from St. Michael’s Church delivers Holy Communion, offering spiritual connection and comfort to those who wish to participate.

Our pet therapy sessions bring gentle and joyful companionship to residents. The simple presence of furry friends lifts spirits and creates memorable moments of peace and happiness.

Our garden is a cherished sanctuary. With vibrant blooms and peaceful corners, it’s a space for laughter and connection. Our gardener tends the grounds, planting seasonal flowers that bring colour and renewal all year round — and residents, families, and friends regularly enjoy its beauty together.

At Nightingale House we don’t just provide care — we create a place where life is celebrated and every person feels seen, safe and supported.
