Around the World Tour: Our Visit to England This Month

Around the World Tour: Our Visit to England This Month

Exploring London’s Iconic Sights

We kicked off our adventure in London, the heart of England and a city that perfectly balances modern energy with timeless charm. We marveled at the majestic Buckingham Palace, where we even caught a glimpse of the Changing of the Guard ceremony! Walking along the River Thames, we stopped to admire the London Eye and took photos with the stunning Tower Bridge in the background. No trip to London is complete without a visit to the British Museum, where we were captivated by ancient artifacts from around the globe. We wrapped up our London tour with a delightful afternoon tea pinkies up! at a cozy café in Covent Garden.

Day Trips into History

After exploring the city, we set out on day trips to experience England’s rich heritage. In Oxford, we wandered through the storied halls of the University, feeling like characters in a Harry Potter movie. Then it was off to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, where we explored his childhood home and caught a glimpse of the famed Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Another highlight was Stonehenge. Standing before those ancient stones, we felt a profound sense of wonder at the mysteries of the past.

The English Countryside: A Breath of Fresh Air

No visit to England would be complete without soaking in the breathtaking countryside. The rolling hills of the Cotswolds stole our hearts with their charming stone cottages and colorful gardens. We took leisurely walks through quaint villages, enjoying cream teas and warm welcomes from friendly locals.

Reflections on Our Journey

England offered us a journey through time from medieval castles to modern skyscrapers, from literary legends to contemporary art. We felt connected to history while embracing the vibrant present. Our visit was a reminder that travel isn’t just about seeing places; it’s about the people we meet, the cultures we embrace, and the memories we create. England will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Stay tuned for the next leg of our Around the World Tour! Where will we go next? 🌍✈️

Great level of service for my mother. It is a weight off of our minds to find a team who are so dedicated to her wellbeing and safety. Lots of activities and Mum integrated immediately into her new home. Keep up the fantastic work.

The team are always responsive to our requests in a very positive way. They hold events constantly, which keep the residents happy, interested and promotes their health in this way. They’re forward thinking, by taking residents whenever possible on one to one basis days out. Their page on social media has almost daily updates within the home, exhibiting pictures of the residents enjoying singing, drawing, painting, puzzles etc. I have never known a care home with such a caring outlook from top to bottom.
